In terms of technique, I would have to say that JJ provides a very stong foundation and a very proper teaching style.

Probably turn patterns is what it lacks but still a desirable start for everyone.

PostSubject: Description of Class - Rueda 1, 2, 3 & 4   JJSalsaRengue Icon_minitimeThu Dec 07, 2006 11:54 am

Class Name: Rueda 1, 2, 3 & 4
Level: Beginner / Intermediate / Advanced
Duration: 5 weeks x 1.5 hours
Pre-requisite: Completed at least Intermediate 2
Description:
Rueda 1, 2, 3 & 4 are progressive salsa casino rueda classes teaching basic, intermediate and advance rueda moves.

Salsa Casino Rueda is a form of salsa dance. In short, the dance is called rueda. Rueda means wheel or circle so rueda translates to salsa dancing done by a group in a circle, with partners being passed around in response to a caller’s commands. What makes rueda a unique and joyful spectacle is how the "followers" are able to dance in a synchronous manner, to a series of moves called by the "leader", sometimes in quick succession, all done to the lively, up-beat salsa music.

These classes will be led by Jackson & June who have been to Miami in the US (the city famous for Rueda) to further learn the dance. They will be in Miami again this Nov for the Salsa Rueda Congress of the Americas 2005. JJSalsaRengue is well known for their salsa casino rueda classes which has become very popular in the Singapore salsa scene.
