Being an entusiast in Bachata, here are my comments. I have learned Bachata from a couple of places and I believed that Gary from Enmotion teaches a style that is much different.

As a dancer, I believe in dancing to the music. Basically Bachata portrays a very romantic and subtle form of Latin dance. Gary chooses to teach the "Close" hold. In the context that you have to hold your partner closer, Yes. In the context that you have to bear hug your partner, No. He teaches his student the proper tecnique and to respect the partner so that none will gey molested and violated.

His teachings extended to interpret the music and the basics to lead a good dance. If you are professional and will not take advantage of your partner, one should do his style as i find it more romantic and sexy.

For the turn patterns and style, I believe that one should be creative and do it in your own way. Every one dances differently but every difference can be crafted to be the perfect dance.

Description:
This is an introduction course for total beginners who have absolutely no dance background at all. You are not required to come with a dance partner as Salsa is very much a street social dance.

In this course, we will focus a lot on the basic of the dance and building a strong foundation for our students. You will be taught on musicality, basic posture, footwork, leading and following techniques for social dancing, and some simple variations.

Upon completion of Level one, you can choose to go on to Beginner Level Two

Level: Beginner / Intermediate
Duration: 5 weeks x 1 hour
Pre-requisite: Beginner Level 1
Description:
This is a continuity course from Level one. The main focus will again be on foundation building. In this course, you will learn more on the different leading and following techniques, more variations, spins techniques and will also be introduce on individual styling and footwork. This is a course to prepare all students for the following Intermediate and Advance Course

On the last lesson of the course, there will be a short assessment by the instructors to let every individual know of their own progression and recommendations on whether they are ready for the
Intermediate Level.

Description:
Bachata is a very beautiful and romantic social dance as many see it
as the dance of love. It's usually accompanied by slow sensual bachata pieces.
In this course you will be taught on the technique of weight shifting, basic footworks, leading & following techniques, Interesting variations and most importantly, how to feel and dance to the sensual tune of the bachata songs.
